Elegant 1950s vintage wedding dress in ivory raw silk with a fitted basque bodice, full gathered skirt, and dramatic train. This is a true swan gown silhouette with a sharply defined waist and voluminous skirt that creates a classic old money style bridal look. A beautiful option for vintage bridal, display, restoration, or editorial styling.
The bodice features a wide portrait neckline trimmed in lace applique with sequins and beadwork, along with softly ruched short sleeves. The pointed waist seam elongates the torso and highlights the full skirt. The skirt is gathered for fullness and finished with an embellished applique band at the drop waist / upper skirt. The back has a full fabric-covered button closure running down the bodice and into the skirt. Attached train adds extra volume and a formal mid-century bridal finish.
This dress has visible discoloration and staining throughout consistent with age, as shown in photos. There is also some tearing at the bottom of the train. Sold as found and priced with condition in mind.
