On a yearly average each individual citizen wastes nearly 80lbs of clothing. In addition only 10% of donated clothing is ever cycled back into communities. This has created a global epidemic of wasted clothing resulting in large proportions of our dumps being covered in textiles of the past. Fast fashion brands are at the center of this issue, manufacturing clothing that can be sold at a low price by sacrificing fair labor salaries, stable working conditions, and materials that are made to last.
Pointe Foure’s mission is combat these industries by sourcing all clothing locally, caring for it as needed, and giving these pieces a second life.
